AZGPS provides boundary surveys for property owners, developers, attorneys, and engineers across Arizona. Using Trimble GNSS technology and thorough deed and plat research, we re-establish property corners, document easements, and produce legally defensible survey plats compliant with Arizona BTR standards and A.R.S. § 32-2101.
What is a Boundary Survey?
A boundary survey re-establishes the legal limits of a parcel of land by locating existing monuments, analyzing recorded deeds and plats, and placing or restoring corner markers. The result is a licensed survey plat that documents the property’s shape, dimensions, and relationship to adjoining parcels. In Arizona, boundary surveys must be performed by a licensed Registered Land Surveyor (RLS).
Best For
Property purchases — confirm exactly what you’re buying before closing. Fence lines — know where the line is before you build. Lot splits & subdivisions — required documentation for county approval. Boundary disputes — resolve neighbor disagreements with licensed evidence. Adverse possession — document occupancy and legal descriptions. Building permits — many Arizona counties require a survey for setback verification.
Our Boundary Survey Process
1. Records research — We pull recorded deeds, plats, subdivision maps, and adjoining surveys from county records and the State Land Department. 2. Field work — Our crew uses Trimble RTK GNSS to locate existing monuments and measure the parcel. 3. Analysis & calculations — We reconcile field measurements with record documents to establish the legal boundary. 4. Monument placement — We set or restore corner pins per Arizona standards. 5. Plat preparation — We prepare a licensed survey plat showing all boundary evidence, dimensions, and easements.
